Good Morning all .

My dwarf gourami has had white spots ( not white dots but circles ) last few days & i am very concerned .

I think it could be Fin Rot but not sure . The pictures i have posted are not brilliant but the 1st picture u can see the white circle .

They are all over its face and top fin has one . I was thinking about ich but i have seen ich in lfs & its this looks totally different .

Can my red eye tetras , sucking loach & Neons catch this if it is fin rot ?

Do i need some melafix or is it white spot ?

How long before it gets worse ? Can only get some treatment on tuesday unfortunately .

Not the best of pictures sorry , but the top one u can see the circle , in better light that white circle is all over his face , on the top fin & other side of him .

Heya, Is it fluffy?

If it's on his face as well as it's fins it can't be fin rot if you get my drift. It could be a case of itch, Bacterial infection or fungus. 3 main infections to look out for.

I can't really tell, but it doesn't seem like fin rot, and if it isn't ich, i'm not sure what it is.
However, fin rot can spread to other fish as it is a bacterial infection, but the bacteria are usually in the tank anyway. If the fish are in a healthy environment they should be fine, but considering one might already have fin rot or some other illness, you should find out exactly what it is and get it treated :) Best of luck to you and your fish.
