A tank with female Bettas in is normal in most pet shops. We used to get in a number of female Bettas and shove them together in the same tank. They were fine.

Female Betta, they look good for female betta. I thought they were males too

Males are usually kept on their own and have longer fins. They might be young males, but if there is a group of them and they aren't killing each other, they are females.

In a decent size tank with lots of sight blocks yeah. You have to add them all at once or they new one will be picked on

Yes. Just buy a group of 6+ females and put them into a tank at the same time. They will develop a pecking order and should be fine. Do not add more females after that though, because they might get attacked by the original inhabitants.
