Is this black spot or naturally occuring pigments on him?
The shopkeeper told me that he is healthy but he might just want to sell it away.
(these spots are already on the fish before i buy it, wanted to do something for him)

It kinda looks a luttle suspicious but I think its just coloration. I would wait on someone to comment who has more experience on the situation though.

That looks like his natural coloration to me. You'll know soon if he starts to change colors.

It's either colouration or bruising/ chemical burns, but either way there's no treatment because it's not a disease. Just keep the tank clean (big regular water changes & gravel cleaning). Maintain the filter. Feed the fish a varied diet. If it is still there in a month, it is colouration.
