Is This Ammonia Ok?

I'm hoping to get my fishless cycle started on my other 55 Gallon within the next week. Today I was out and picked up some generic ammonia bottle and I'm hoping I got the right one! Ingredients: Ammonium Hydroxide and Surfactant. It doesn't bubble when I shake it. Is this stuff OK?

Surfactants ae wetting agents. Most all are petroleum based and one of the most common is detergents. As a general rule, you don't want ammonia with surfactants in it for a fishless cycle.

I'm pretty sure the only thing on the ingredients list should be "ammonium hydroxide"
if it has anything else, dont bother with it.

Darn. Yeah thanks for the link. I had already seen that but many of the pics were broken. I'm in the US. Sounds like I'll return it and look for another. Thanks!

In the US, try True Value hardware store. They carry straight ammonia with no detergents in the cleaning aisle for a very low price.
