Is This Actually Bogwood?

I payed £5 for this wood as I was told it was bogwood and wanted to add it to my tank.
However, not long after cleaning it, standing it and adding it to my tank one of my 2 female combtail fighters looked really ill as she kept close the the filter and wouldn't swim around like she used to, next day both of them were dead with no injuries or any ill signs. So I want to know, is this bogwood?

Agree with above, a peice of bogwood that size would cost alot more than £5

It's not actually that big but if it's not bogwood and it killed my 2 best females and the mother of my current baby betta's then I also want to give the LFS a good walloping. It's Middletons Pet's and Gardens in Town.

and you would buy fish from a shop like that , i had a look in my closest LFS today for some plants , lets put it this way , i would be ashamed to keep the tanks the way they are , filthy dont come nowhere near

Trust me the most I would do is buy ornaments from Middletons but I'm not even going to go in there now. It's at the bottom of the moor.

In response to the red, They might not have known it wasnt bogwood, i'm not just going to cut them off my list of lfs's just yet

Iv been their a few times for my fish, went their this mornin for my white spot treatment, agree with the above their tanks are filthy

Nothing worse than a pet shop with filthy tanks... Even out local P@H keeps their tanks nice and clean!!!!!

P@H are the best place to go I think, they have a lot of different type of fish, they are really helpful and know a lot what they are talking about
