Is Thinkfish Legit?

I recently looked at the thinkfish community calculator, which can guesstimate stocking levels for a tank. It seems to me that it overstocks its tank like crazy. I read thier whole stocking rules section and it made little sense. Does everyone else agree that the thinkfish community calculator basically doesn't stock tanks correctly?

it is well known that it over estimates by at least 30%, often more like 50%

just use it as a rough guide, then come back here with any ideas you may have,always good to get a second opinion on what thinkfish tells you is ok
