Hey,

Ive had my two female swordtails for about six months. They were both the same size when i bought them (about an inch) but now one of them has kept growing and is over 2 inches now, but the other one stopped at about 1 &1/2 inches!! Im worried she's sick or something and thats why she's not growing...

They both look healthy and eat well, im just a bit worried about the one not growing as i know this can sometimes indicate a problem... Am i worrying about nothing?! Picture attached shows the size difference!!

*EDIT - Ok, pic not worked so well  lol if you can see that great! :D Go You! lol if not here's a link to a proper sized one.. http://groups.msn.com/JesssPage/fishpix.ms...oto&PhotoID=235

I must learn how to post pics without the 'attach' option!lol

I would say nothing is wrong. My baby female swords, from the batch I saved, vary in size, some are twice as big as the others. As long as you don't see any signs of illness or stress, you should be fine.

Beautiful Swords, BTW.

Lol.. im over reacting again then! Ive been worrying about her for ages, thought i should probably ask for some other opinions!

I shall keep an eye on her and make sure she carries on eating etc, but i guess i dont have anything to worry about really! Thanks! :)

P.S. They are pretty! Brighten up the tank... My brother thinks they're goldfish though...
