Who here has ever purchesed dyed fish by accident

what Fish stores do you know of that sells Dyed fish?

I say this because a little before I knew about dyed fish, I was ready to buy some painted glassfish. Then I read about dyed fish and I changed my mind in time. Has anyone ever been too late to find out?

BTW, Superpetz sells dyed fish.

My petsmart used to carry painted glassfish, and my LFS still does. I have never bought any however. I was rather intrigued by the ones at my Petsmart when I was young and didn't know about them, but luckily didn't buy any.

My boyfriend bought me 2 dyed fish as a present(before i even knew anything about fish). I didnt see a problem with it at the time b/c i never knew it was dyed and the processes invovled, etc. When i did find out nothing changed besides my attitude towards not supoorting further dyed fish. I still like him just as much, i just dont buy anymore of them that are dyed. Instead he shares his home with 6 non-dyed buddies.
His blue ugly colour is almost gone but still a poor little dude

pretty much every pet store i ever go to sells dyed fish, i've never bought any though. I guess i was just lucky enough to not pick dyed ones before i new anything bout them

Thats great, I've had trouble with Train Pet Stores selling dyed fish.




Unfortunately every pet store I have ever visited sells dyed fish, so I cannot avoid buying from them (the pet stores that is). I have never bought a dyed fish, and I knew about them from the beginning of me owning fish, so I was never tempted to either.

Never accidently bought dyed fish, because I research any fish b4 adding to my tank!

That's the only negative about my lfs - they have the dyed blood parrots. They are so great about everything else there though that I still go there.

My PetSmart doesn't sell painted fish.

ive brought about 20 or so painted angels, it was over a year ago and i had no idea about the painted or dyeing, well they all ended up dying after about a month or so.
I know never ever buy dyed fish, its just to cruel!
