Hi all,

I used to have a tropical fish tank years ago, but have forgotten most of what I once knew. Now that I have some free time, and some space in my apartment to have a tank, I'd like to setup a 10 gal tank.

Is there a tool to help me find good community-oriented fish based on the water that I currently have? For example, maybe a list of good beginner fish for water temps of 75-f, high PH.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

yes you can do far worse than buying a decent book that will cover all aspects of this and more and its more reliable than stuff you can read on the internet

yeah there are a lot of such calculators all over the internet.

however i've yet to find one i would happily recommend, info is often dodgy and unreliable and stocking levels are much higher than i would recommend.

by all means use them to find fish with suitable water chemistry requirements, but please don't take they're word as gospel. back it up with common sense and your own research

Hi, A website I personally use which has so many unique and ideal calculators & also community creator which tells you what fish are compatible, if your tank is big enough etc... Http://www.thinkfish.co.uk Give it a go and let me know if it helped you in anyway :) have fun !
