i want to know all about them somone must know where i can go on this site or another site!! please let me know¬!!!!!

I really don't think piranhas are suitable fish for aquariums.
They are really large fish, growing up to 12" and as most Characins, they are schooling fish, at least six individuals, that is. They are also rather difficult to feed and are really really messy. I'd say that a 250g. tank is the bare minimum for a small school of piranhas.
Besides their reputation is highly exaggerated, most keepers report that red piranhas are more shy whimps than ferocious predators.
I have to admit that they do look quite impressive but for public aquaria only IMO. :/

Yep, it may be hard to believe it, but they are characins I can tell my tetras are closely related to piranhas

i thought my neons looked alot like a school of blue and orange pahrahnas

i have to add... a friend of mines dad had what he called "fruit pahranas" im not shure if they are calld this or what since i dont know anything about these fish..... i saw thme eat one time and it was the coolest thing!!! tehy attacked the fruit like it had to be killed first.....

So are Silver Dollars, Bala Sharks and a number of other large schoolers though I'm more against them being sold to newbie fish keepers who don't realize the mess they'll get into as opposed to just outright barring them.
