Is Super Glue Safe Once Dried?

If the propellor isnt working, you can always buy a new one..

Is aquarium sealant, silicone? If not, try that

Oh, i see.

I remember reading somewhere on here that super glue may release bad stuff into your water.

super glue even when dry, is not good for aquariums. think of it as kids who live under power lines. maybe not immediately, but the fish will eventually, if not immediatly, be very prone to sickness. check your LFS for aquarium sealant. works like a charm.

What are you trying to fix first? How do you propose to fix a propeller with silicon sealant?

Superglue is not that toxic, and many reefers use it to glue frags. Water seals the glue very quickly, but you might have to hold the peaces together for a few mins. You can also try Aquaneedit, a product used by plumbers in moinst/wet plumbing areas. Both can be found in your local hardware.

well i went ahead and just siliconed it to be safe, i moved another filter over to the tank and will just use this one on the new one tomorrow. So everything still going as planned or so it seems. HAHA 3 filter changes on 3 tanks in same week. Another comming next week. But no spikes in water test so far. So cant complain.
