Maybe a stupid question but...I got this little girl about 2 weeks ago. She was sold to me as a creamsicle molly, but I noticed that my big black male molly does not show an interest in breeding with her, although he chases the female dalmation around nonstop. Is she a platy? And does she look pregnant to you?

I researched creamsicle mollies and gold platies and they both had images of fish that looked nearly identical to her, so I just wasn't sure.

I apologize for the picture! She would not stop moving!

I don't have too much experience with mollies, but she kind of looks like a platy to me... might want to get some more experienced opinions though :)
I can't tell if she's pregnant, because of the glare... (btw its a fairly good pic :) )

I think she's a platy just with the shape and length of the body. Mollies are also wider at the mouth with the top bit being flat where as the platy slopes down. Try and get a pic of her looking straight at you lol that will be a challenge!

I think she looks like a platy and she's got a rounded belly so she could be pregnant. Some people say to look for the gravid spot, but mine doesn't always get one. The gravid spot is the black of the fry eyes, but they don't always show on mine for some reason.
If she is pregnant it lasts about 4-5 weeks and she'll look fit to burst just before she gives birth - that's called squared off. Let us know how she gets on.

Platy I think, have a couple very similar in shape and colour! But who knows! She is beautiful anyways!

I'd say platy too. I've had mollies before and they were much longer than that.  Plus she has those "platy scales" that mollies (or the ones I've seen) don't have.  Definitely a platy.

Ill chime in with my vote being a platy. Most platy atrains today have swordtail genetics in them to acheive great coloring. Swortails are larger than platies and thus increase the platy size when the genetics include swordtail chromosomes. My opinion.
