One of my yo-yo loaches is getting a really fat belly and it seems to be getting bigger in the last few days. I dont know how to tell the sex of them but is it possible it is about to lay eggs? I have noticed it has been becoming increasingly territorial somewhat and hogging food from other loach. I have never had fish lay eggs so this is all new to me if it is about to lay. Any steps i should take if it does lay eggs?

Where did you get your puffer and how many gallons do they need becuase i am looking for something to put in a 10 gallon

possible , yes: proberble, no!

yoyos, like most other botias, will not spawn in aquariums.
those that are farm bred have hormones injected to stimulate
breeding.

well i reciently dopped the temp of the tank after treating ich. Could the drop in temp trigger hormone release from the other fish in the tank possibly? dont know i just know i have never seen a yo-yo with tummy like this, and read that females are usually more round so i know i have a female and male (90% sure anyways). Also read during breeding they will swim circles together alot and male will turn almost pale. I noticed a few days ago them quirling with each other and male pale. in just a few minutes he was back to normal. I also read that the female will become very territorial. This has also been true the last few days with her chasing the rest (especially other yo-yo) away from the underside of the bogwood. wow this could be intresting. or very bad if internal problems. oh boy what to think lol
