I have:
6 neon tetra
1 cory catfish(i know i need more)
5 fancy guppies
5 cherry barbs
3 red eye tetras

It's a 20g h. I would like to add some more of the ones I already have.

maybe some more red eyes and some more corys?

The ammonia is always at 0 as is nitrite.

I do weekly water changes.

What do you think?

Tank is definitely too small for the cherry barbs... If it was a 20 long, you may be able to... I always think of cherry barbs as being a 30 gallon fish or more, but a lot of people do keep them in 20 gallon tanks... In my opinion you are over stocked as regards to space

oh no. what should i do

I just looked up the red eye tetra... Ive heard of them before and done some research but I wanted a quick refresh... So, a lot of sites say their minimum tank size is 20g... This is most likely based off of a 20 long rather than a 20H... I have a 20 high, and I understand the pains of stocking it.

yeah, it's tough. I appreciate your help!

One thing (the sad thing) you could do, is try to bring your cherry barbs to a local pet store OR get a nice 20 long tank and move the fish over to that.

I would say to maybe rehome one type of fish and increase the schools of the others, 20g highs are an absolute pain stocking wise.

The stocking I'm doing is 3 peacock gudgeons and 9 lambchop rasboras... I'm still debating a bit on the rasboras but other wise thats what I'm doing.

what happens if I leave them in the present tank?
Well, if they are in a confined tank and it keeps getting tighter in there, a peaceful species could go a little coo coo and decide it wants to make some room... Ive heard it happening to some tanks before
