Is my salvini cichlid male or female

Ive had this salvini cichlid for about a year. Nice healthy fish as far as i can see. My favourite currently out of all my fish . Can you please help find the sex of him/her

Im not an expect but id say female. They have a black blotch on the dorsal fin and gill plate which matches up with your pictures .

Someone in the know will hopefully confirm this for you tho

Thank you for the reply. I was thinking the same thing. If your findings are correct, she is a beauty. Cant wait til shes fully grown ?

Hows her temperament? She ok with her tank mates

Hows her temperament? She ok with her tank mates

She is currently in with a convict cichlid, electric blue acara and Thorichthys aureus. Shes not aggressive as long as no one comes to her little hiding spot near the tank. No one really does. Shes the tank boss obviously so when she does decide go for a stroll every one pretty much move out the way. No problems yet. Fingers crossed nothing in the future. If something does happen i have got a plan b in place just in case.
