I bought a pair of sailfin mollies, the female was already preggers at that time. She has been swimming either at the top of the tank or the bottom and trying to isolate herself. Does this mean she's ready to give birth?

It may. Or she could be trying to isolate herself from the male. Seeing as you have only one female, she's probably getting constant chasing and stress from the male...so I suggest you get at least another female, because otherwise she could abort her babies, have birthing troubles, or even die from stress. And you don't want that! If this continues even after the male isn't giving her constant attention, then I would say yes, she is getting close to giving birth. :)

The male doesn’t seem to be harassing her much, but I will definitely keep an eye on it... Thanks...

Sorry...but I wouldn't put her in a breeder net. Mollies are really too big to be comfortable in a breeder net (Unless she's young). She could probably only stay in there for a max of 2 days, and a lot of moving could stress her out. If you want to save fry, I'd put them in the breeder net after they are born, and raise them up there. Or get a seperate birthing tank for her. :)
