So I've had this fish for a short while (month or so) now and the belly has only gotten bigger...I have two like this and I think they are both male so pregnancy shouldn't but whats going on here...none of my other fish appear to be overweight, and I have kept my feedings to one a day (and recently shifted to two smaller feedings). My other platy appears to be very normal sized and seems to eat just as much.

If it is just fat, do I need to separate him during feedings to reduce his feedings for awhile?

I appreciate the feedback.

My blind cave fish absolutly gorge whenever I feed them and their bellys double in size where as my other fish don't change. I was a bit worried so I didn't feed them for a couple of days and the bellies dissapeared. Now I just feed tiny amounts at a time and it seems to be working. Maybe your platy is just a little pig like my tetra? It sounds a bit mean not feeding them but at least I now know its just food.

Thqat looks like a male platy from the picture. That means it is fat, not carrying fry. He is not so big that it is a problem to my way of thinking.
