Is she pregnant or is it something else?
Also what is the correct name for a pregnant fish? Or is it just pregnant?

Hmmm. Do you have a male in there? Are they showing signs of breeding? If so, she may be full of eggs. I remeber my lest pair of jewels, my female got HUGE, before. Im not sure she was as big as your female. Also, can you get a somewhat fdar away pic of her?

i will get a pic asap, yes there is a male in there, here is pics of him, also there is 2 other jewels in there (total of 4) but unsure on sex as they are still young and i am not sure at which age you can determine the sex.

MALE

well i just went to get a pic and she is normal! i have seen all 4 together so i have the right one.

How do they lay eggs?

I don't think she's pregnant, my guess would be bloat or possibly Dropsy
are the water parameters all ok?
see if she'll take any deshelled peas

if you read my above post she is fine now ????

by feeding too much dried foods, i.e. flake, when the flake is swallowed so is air

Now that i see the new picture, i dotn think its a she at all. Looks like a male to me.
that above pic is of a MALE, she is looking the exact same way now as he is above (normal shape). someone asked if there is a male in the tank so i gave a pic of him.

Nope she isnt pineconed detail on feeding:

spirulina algae flakes evry morning
hikari cichlid excell pellets (white packet) - every night.
Frozen Brinshrimp every sunday night (nothing else fed on this day except this)

haha congrats on ya lil eggs haha. i have not got a clue about the fish you keep but tha looks like alot of eggs haha
good luck :good:
