since im new to these fish i need some advice
they are the first of this kind that i have ever had, the problem is that both male and female have gravid area so im a little confused as im more a guppy person.
they came from the same tank and she was swollen at first but over night about a week later which was 3 weeks ago she reduced in size dramaticaly so i think that she dropped her fry and they turned into a midnight feast. now she swollen again, if you could take a look at the pics could you tell me if she is expecting again
i say yes my partner says no
sorry but pics dont show gravid as dark as it really is, it looks just like when a guppy is about to drop

and this was her and the male the day before i think she dropped her first batch

thanx

thankyou, she a dream to watch swimming round the tank
ive seperated her from the main tank in order to save some fry this time (hopefully) i done it now rather than later cos if she is pregnant i would want to do it when she was close to dropping- thats what i do with my gups-have i done the right thing?

cool, glad i made the right decision.
so do i treat her as if i would a gup? common sense tells me yes

Thats a lovely pair of sunsets you got there.

They should breed true as well.

But the female don't look that large I'll give her 10 days then then feed loads of live foods like blood worm if the parents are well feed they will be more inclined to leave their fry long enough to be able to trap them.
