Hi! i started keeping tropical fish just under a year ago, i think im now begining to realise whats envolved. I have a querie, i bought a new blue ram last week. I don't have a quarentine tank, so i added my new ram following proper procedures. On the second day the ram began to breath heavily and progressively got worse as the days went on. Its stomach was slighly swollen, and it looked like something yellowish was inside it. It died after 5 days. :shout: I treated the tank with myaxin straight away but it didn't work. Now my other gold ram has began to breath slightly more rapidly than usual.
I don't know whether to continue using myaxin,is it poisening my other ram, or is there something i should be doing? :look:

Fish: 3 rams, 3 danios, 8 neon tetras, 2 aquatic frogs.

Tank: Ph 6.9, temp 72 0c, Gh 4 0d, Nitrates are low

The organs could of stopped working so that why the fluid built up causing poisoning.
I would do some water changes and carry on with the myxazin.

Or start a treatment of anti internal bacteria med by interpet.
