Is My Fish Sick?

Hello,

I've had my betta fish for 2 years now (since very late December 2004, probably around the 27th). He's been fed when he's supposed to either by me or someone else here.

Recently the fish has a whole "portion" of his chin that's white. I mean that near the eyes - almost the whole thing is white.

I looked and I found white spots on betta fish, but I can't find anything for a whole part of the fish being white.

Please say he's not sick!

sounds like whitespot you can readily buy treatment at your lfs and put as much as it tells you to and clean the bettas water everyday for up to two weeks an he should be cured by then

Yea, probably white spot, it would be easier to tell with a pic though.

Thank you! I do not have a camera of decent quality (I've got a webcam, but it would not be good enough I don't think).

I looked again and it's not on the whole part. Maybe it's white spots but coincidentally on a large part of the fish.
