Is my Danio pregnant?

Opcn is correct, heavily egg laiden females do, sometimes,
have an inabillity to fully close their mouths.

Other possibilitys are a tumor growing inside the mouth, or a genetic
abnormalitiy. As this fish seems to have been cured I'd say it was the eggs causing a discomfort on the gills and therefore she was unable to close her mouth.

Erm sam thanks I do try and to be noted as an expert is appreciated, although i'm not sure I'd call myself that yet.

would that I could paul but I've got the knee problems and all.

I would agree on the title of expert though

you know what, never mind that, I took a second look at my Danio and the pic, I think they did spawn, I will remove them and wait a few days(like 5) before doing anything with the tank, in case there are fry

you should see little fry attached to the glass within 36 hrs so if there is no fry by 48 hrs then there is no fry and you can try again.
