Is my Danio pregnant?

sounds good to me :0
Now no feeding for 24hrs, if they don't spawn then
leave them for another 24 hrs, If unsucessful by then return the male to the main tank and feed the female on bloodworm or daphnia or bbs don't add the amle back for 48hrs then try again.
Good luck DD :)

Egg laden ..... set up a ten gallon with a layer of marbles and out her in there with what you think is a male...... she will scatter the eegs and the male will swim over them and fertalize them

I'll put money down that it's a disease. A danio is not supposed to have its mouth open like that, I would treat it for disease asap.

I'm not saying it's dropsy, I'm saying it's something else that killed 2 of my danios. First the stomach began to bulge (like in the picture), then their mouths became deformed and constantly open (like in his picture). I'm only speaking from experience, it's up to you.

being Super Egg laden mught affect the mouths ability to close ... Wolf any thought on the subject?

It has not been able to close for at least 2 weeks, it was thin then, but I posted about the open mouth, nobody said anything about disease

one of my Zebra Danios is fat/large/whatever and she can close her mouth

notice either this is a pic of before or..well i dunno cause the danio is not fat in that pic

I'd say that that second pic of the normal Riero looks like it just dropped the eggs. Did you see her caressing any males recently?
