Help!
My assassin snail went missing for a week (he does this sometimes) but today I decided to look for him and found him underneath my bog wood. I moved him to the front of my tank so I could keep an eye on him and put an algae wafer next to him, but nothing! I have picked him up and smelled him lol but he doesn't smell. is he dead??? Ideas on a postcard please!
Thanks
P.s tried to upload a pic but couldn't, maybe can't from an iPad? - his shell doesn't look empty btw plus ammonia readings aren't up

I have been told to put him on a piece of lettuce, then you will know........

I took what i thought was a dead assasin out of 1 of my tanks and placed him in a small bubble of water on top of the tank (fluval edge), no movement for half an hr, just when i was going to dispose he got up and started moving, so they can just lie dormant for a long time.

There's a photobucket app for the ipad you can use to upload pics.
It's free, upload your pics then use the IMG code to post pics here

Thanks for all the suggestions - will try the lettuce and the bubble trick!

Have managed to upload a picture of him taken this morning - still no movement!
