Is it worth buying more fish if you may have to sell them all in 3 months? Lol.

I need to increase my rummynose numbers and get some more betta pugnax. I'd also like some micro rasboras or something as dithers for my dimidiata. I just cant decide if it would be worth it...

Why might you have to sell them? That would be the biggest decision maker for me, is there a possibility you may keep them?

My family might be leaving the country for 6 months. We will have someone staying at our house to watch our cat and chickens, but I dont know if they would be willing to do aquarium maintenance

Do you have any close friends that would possibly be willing to care for them? Or, a BIG longshot, if you have a LFS that you're friends with, you could ask if they could care for them if you brought them/ their tanks there? The biggest thing for me would be the emotional hurt of having to rehome them. Sorry if my ideas are dumb, just my ideas!

If it were a week or 2 then yeah but 6 months is a big ask for somebody to maintain your tank.

Yeah. We would be paying them to house sit, so it's not just asking them a favor, but it is a long time
