Okay, i have decided to rid of my Adult Male( guessing because of behaviour) Albino Pearscale Angelfish. I bought him for 10 dollars. I called the store today and said they would trade him in for 7 dollars. The only reason im trading is because he is overly aggressive and isnt cooperating with my angels i want to move in. So, is 7 dollars worth it? Or should i wait and see if i can get a better offer?

of course it is worth more than that, but theyre not going to give you $10 for it and then charge some one $10 for it. they wouldnt make anything off it. general rule for trade ins at most fs give half of what its worth if its worth more than $10 and 1/3 anything less than that.

ya... my lfs gives 1/3 the price of what they can sell it for... so be fortunate they are giving you $7... though being an adult male angel that can breed, im sure they will try charging upwards of $15 or 20 for it

But what i menat is, it's now about 7 inches tall, and it was around 5 when i got it. So, i figuerd it was worth more, and they sold some blue blushing mediums for over 17 dollars, but im not sure how much they are worth. I will take the 7 dollar deal, i was just wondering.

well to put it into perspective

i once decided to change the theme of my tank and traded in the following

3 Blood parrots

4 Large Angel Fish (Both Breeding Pairs)

2 xlrg Black Acara (Pair)

4 x Congo Tetra

4 X neon green Tiger Barbs

8 XL golden barbs

1 zebra pleco

2 X bristlenose (pair)

4 X Corydora

and i got £30 (approx $50 USD)

I think $7 is a deal for your angel.

MAN, stuff in the UK is CHEAP. I can only imagine getting all those fish for 50 dollars. Thet angel breeding pair woul cost at the cheapest, 25 dollars a piece, Blood Parrots are about 6 dollars for a small and 18 dollars for a large, Black Acara's, prob 7 dollars a piece, Congo Tetra's prob 2 dollars a piece, Neon green Tiger barbs prob 5 dollars a piece, golden barbs prob 4 dollars, zebra plec prob 15 dollars, bristle nose, 25 dollars for 2, Cory, 3 dollars a piece! Lets add this up!

Assuming you get the large parrots that could easily reach 262 us dollars ( E 131)

Nah, fish arn't cheap :p. What he means is that he only got £30 quid for them, the shop probably sold them on for over £100.

My LFS is very reasonable with exchanges, they offer half of what would sell them for.

yeah i was robbed in broad daylight for those fish!!!

looking on the net i think US seems slightly cheaper than the UK
