Greetings and salutations, fellow fishy folk......I was just wondering if any of you who are more knowledgable on the matter than I am, know if it is ok to use water from the hot tap for the aquarium? The water boiler is just a simple electric one on the wall, an Ariston heater, model name "Titanium Plus". http
/www.ariston-heater.com.sg/storage.html My water provider is Severn Trent Water in the UK. I have ordered a copper testing kit as I heard that hot water can sometimes contain more copper if the boiler/ pipes are lined with it. The lady I acquired 5 of my fish from, who I purchased my tank from, used to use water from the hot tap for water changes. I've had no problems with the health of the fish I had from her; all have lived and seem ok so far.
The PH, water hardness, nitrates, etc test the same from both water taps.

After we had wasps nests removed ours was full of insecticide-coated dead wasps. Twice.
