as topic title,i got an airstone in my tank at the mo and i dont like the look of the pipes etc.....my external filter is pumping into the tank and i got the bars just under the water,i have ripples on the surface of the water but not much,is that enough to put oxygen/air into the water?

cheers for any replies

That shouldn't be a problem, and you could always raise the spray bar a little higher again for peace of mind so that there is more surface disturbance :)

It's perfectly fine to remove your airstone if you don't like it. As long as the water surface is rippling nicely, there should be plenty of oxygen in the water.
