I heard somewhere on the NET about people feeding there fish peas.

I am raising a single male GT in a 45-gallon with daily 40% water changes/gravel-vacs.

He eats Hikari's Cichlid Bio-Gold, Hikari carnivore sticks, and some freeze-dried krill on occasion.

I am wondering if he is not getting enough vegetable matter.

I tried a frozen-thawed pea and he just loved it!

Should I give him 1 a day with his regular foods? Or how often should I give him these?

Thanks. Will post some new pictures soon, he is starting to look very nice.

generaly speaking garden peas act as a laxative for fish and should only be used as a treatment for intestinal blockages. There are a wide variety of "our" veg that fish will readly eat, try zucchine, cucumber, spinach, chopped lettuce etc.
I would, personally, use organic veg as this will eliminate the chance of pesticides being introduced to the tank.
