Is It Normal For Fish To Be Food Hogs?

Hello, this morning I walked by my tank and I've noticed all the fish inside it quickly comming over just to beg for food. I never had this experience before with my other fish (Except angelfish). All other fish inside it (Discus, Rams, Gouramis, Swordtails and even the betta came out) Thinking I would feed them.

Is this normal for other fish?

My fish do it all the time, if I stay near the tank for a while every fish comes out, they have always done this. But, when you think about it the most exciting part of the day for a fish in a tank would be feeding time.

Most fish will do this. Mine all do. They even crowd to the front when my wife walks by the tank, and she never feeds them. It does not mean they aren't getting enough food. They will do it no matter how much you feed.

Yes fish are quite intelligent little things (despite the silly things they sometimes do!).. they can recognise the shape/colour/timing of whoever feeds them and will beg at the front glass/water surface. Even my cories do it!

Perfectly normal for all fish, eventually. If anything, its a sign they recognise the person that drops food in the tank, and they'll start to associate your size and shape near the tank as "food time", so they'll all be expecting food. They can evens sometimes tell the differnce between coloured food containers. The Kribs dont bother moving for the yellow tub of NovoVERT for the barbs, but as soon as a blue tub come outs, they do too.

All my fish beg too. Makes me feel bad on their fast day.
