i have had this guppey breeding tank go for about 2 months and they have finely giving birth but they wont do it in the breeding trap am i putting them in to late or to early as soon as i put them in there they seem to lose there pregance

They are getting stressed out when you put them in the trap and the females are reabsorbing the young. Just leave them in the tank and have lots of plants, especially floating plants like water sprite (Ceratopteris thalictroides). When you see babies swimming around you can scoop them up in a glass of tank water and carefully pour them into the trap for safe keeping.
Guppies generally don't eat their own young.

Colin is on the money, plastic floating plants seem to work just as well. The idea is to give the fry a place to hide. Livebearer breeders love cheap plastic plants for just this reason, I've got a bunch of floating junk in my platy tank.

My own preference for a hiding place is a clump of java moss. It is impenetrable for the adults and the fry will swim through it like it's open water.
