Is It Just My Impression?

In my breeding tank I have VERY soft water, and today I've noticed also very clear water. Is it just my impression, or is softer water clearer, even marginally?

Not sure, the water in my cichlid tank is crystal clear and that high ph and hard water.

I have nothing to compare it against, but my water is very very soft and is crystal clear.
