I cant see where to make a poll either.

Its been a while since I've made a poll, but it looks like the format is just a little different now, may be why you missed it.

Start a new topic, fill in the topic title/description. Just below this, before where you'd type the post, you'll see "Poll Options", click where it says "Click here to manage this topic's poll". This opens up the Poll Options. Add the poll's title and question as prompted, then add your poll choices.

I was just seeing if I could make one and it turns out I can. So I deleted that one so. I will have the new one up and going in a few days..
