Is It An Egg?

Just wondering if you guys think this is a fish egg...or just another nerite egg that looks different becuz it isn't on my driftwood.
 

 

 
The fact that it is still there out in the open and uneaten makes me think it is a nerite egg lol

I agree with Munroco, it looks like an egg of some sort, whether it's a snail egg or a fish egg I can't say. Odd that there's only one though. I wonder if there was more and they got eaten?
