i was recently at my lfs and they were selling "blueberry" oscars, albaino oscars with a slight tinge of blue. They were really nice looking if it's natural!! the store staff were unsure if they were dyed or not. i think they are because i've never seen a blue one in all the research i've done on oscars in the past few weeks. but hey they might just be rare. i definitly won't buy it if it's dyed and i will talk to the lfs if it is, they don't normally buy dyed fish becasue they die too quick. any info would help!!

thanks

That's a pretty sick practice...seems easy to spot as well....lfs who sell them should be fined or something....

this was the first time the store had these fish in they usually follow a policy of no dyed fish so this will be the last time the have them

I've heard of instances where unscrupulous suppliers mix unsellable dyed fish in with the normal stock even if the LFS hasn't asked for it.

It's not always the fault of the LFS, especially as you said they are usually against the sale of dyed fish.
