yea at 1st I got him to keep doen algee growth but then when I noticed that I had none in my 20 gallon and figured he would be happier in the more dense 55 gal he has LOVED it. he is out all the time now hanging around on the side of the tank

Very nice tanks! I like that you've kept some open swimming space.
If you do plan on upgrading your tank size in the future, it would be nice to get a couple of friends for the clown loach. They are very social and will play together all the time.
You've done a great job without co2!

Yea actually since I shot these photos i did a little prunning in the 20gal to open up some more space the palnts were starting to run together so much that I saw the gourami get almost stuff in some last night. After a week or 2 of regrowth I am gonna take some more pics

great job!
I won't get on you about the Bala and the Clown - I've paid attention. :)

How's the pest snail problem been? I don't see any in your pic.s. The Clown's doing his job!

Cheers!

snails are gone, clown was moved into the 55 gal this weekend and is gettinga buddy on tuesday. I am gonna get rid of the bala most likely next month as a friend is finishing up cycling and 8 foot tank.

I did some trimming and moved some plants this last weekend, added some fish to the 20 gallon as I moved the clown to the larger tank. look for updated pics coming soon

I took some new pics last night; I will post them later on. (I'm at work)

20 GAL CHANGES - I moved all of the Crinum thaianum (8 plants in all now) to the 55 gal as it seems to have grown to long for the 20 gal. I also trimmed the 3 long Hygrophila difformis (which were each over 20â€￾ in length) and replanted all of it against the back wall, it is already growing like mad but should completely cover the back wall within a month or so. I moved the Myriophyllum (red) to the front corner of the tank so it can contrast better with the bright green backdrop.

Currently the fish in the tank are – 1 Golden Gourami, 5 blue neon tetras, 5 black neon tetras, 5 Black skirt tetras, 1 sunburst platy, 2 (very small) rubber lip plecos

55 GAL CHANGES – I replanted all the Crinum thaianum (as mentioned above) and placed some slate around them to keep some of the digging fish from bringing them up. I also added some more slate and made a cave for the common pleco (I was wrong it is definitely not a bristle nose)

Currently the fish in the tank are – 2 dwarf Gouramis (1 blue, 1 red), 1 bala shark (will be finding it a new home soon), 1 Green severum Chcilid, 1 red parrot chcilid, 2 zebra danios, 2 angel fish, 1 clown loach (I will be getting another when I remove the bala), 1 common pleco (I will need to find this guy a new home as well but not for some time)

so here is a couple of newer shots ( sorry for the camera work)
