Hey guys!

I paid a little visit to Petsmart the other day and fell in love with the reptiles and turtles and everything!

I'm seriously considering getting some sort of invertebrate that isn't a fish, but people are tell me it's not such a good idea because they escape, are hard to take care of, and need alot of time and attention.

The care and attention I can provide but I'm someone who will want to hold my little friends lol. :D

So what kind of reptile would you guys recommend for a beginner who wants to hold them?
Turtles, lizards, snakes?

Thanks!
^_^

With all of those, there's a very large risk of salmonella.

BTW, those aren't inverts, those are reptiles. :)

Fish are vertebrates, so are lizards, turtles and snakes ;) :) .

Ive always wanted a snake, but im not allowed because i'd have to keep frozen mice in the freezer. If your OK with that, i'd get an albino corn snake because they are so nosey, look cool and just very interesting.

Most people i've talked to have recommended leopard geckos as the best reptile to begin with. But if you can get a bigger tank go for bearded dragons, which are much more friendly/inquisitive from what ive seen.
