Invasion From The Snails

Hi peeps discovered 1 snail in my tank 3 weeks ago, discovered 2nd snail 4 days ago, discovered 4 baby snails today and have also discovered eggs.

What are they gonna do to my tank, I have lots of nice plants will my african dwarf frog eat them when he gets bigger???

i doubt your african frog will eat snails, they're not really snail eaters so don't expect him to do that for you.

I had a similar snail invasion. One way to get rid of them is to put some meat in there and take it out when it is covered in snails. Then repeat that until the snails are gone. Or you could completely clean out the tank. I did that and it worked for me. It was more work and I had to do the cycle over again but it was less time consuming then the meat method.

I'd remove any eggs you see. You can also put a piece of cucumber or zucchini in the tank. It should attract the snails, and then when the snails are on the piece of veggie, remove it. Or you could just pick each snail out with your fingers (that'd probably be somewhat time-consuming though, especially if you have a heavily-planted tank).
