Ive have recently been given 2 bolivian rams which are lovely but the previous owner only used to feed them bloodworm so now i try to feed them other things but they just wont eat it so has anyone got any suggestion on how to get them to eat other foods

perserver, i have a spiney eel which refuses to eat anything except live bloodworm, had him about 1 year and lord knows ive tried,frozen/dried bloodworm,so have to keep live aswell....try frozen and dried, even dried tubiflex is good for fussy fish i have found

Just don't feed them anything but what you are trying to get them to eat. When they are hungry enough they will eat.

i think bolivian rams are classified as carnivores but they also eat algae pellets when i throw one in once in awhile

Not true with every fish. Spiny eels and some piscivores will sometimes starve to death before they eat something they don't want to eat.

But in the OP's case, yes, they should eat it eventually once they get hungry enough.

It may well be that they need a settling period and just gone off eating for a while.
They should go for Livefoods.
Try Grindalworms and Whiteworm and Tubifex something that's not too hard to chase and catch.
Then you can drop the food right under their noses.

Agreed, not many fish can refuse a live worm wriggling in front of them. Especially if you have not fed them the bloodworm for a day or so and are hungry.
