Introducing Kribs To My Tank?

Hi all,

I've had my tank up and running since February time now and after a shaky start and a few deaths (fish) it seems to have settled down now and with regular cleaning and a watchful eye, I seem to have cracked it

Anyway, I have a couple of Chinese Algae Eating Loaches that seem to have rapidly increased in size and are really quite wild - zipping all over the tank like lunatics

I have a dilema which I'm hoping someone can help with.......

I have a friend that has baby Kribensis Cichlids that are looking for a new home and I would quite like some I also have someone that will take the Algae Eaters off my hands

Is this a good idea??

My tank currently has:

2 Zebra Danios, 2 Tiger Barbs, 3 Neon Tetras, 1 Silvertip Tetra and the 2 Loaches.

So basically I would be swapping the loaches for a few Kribs

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Tetra Aqua Art 60 litre.

60l is too small for kribs i'm afraid.

60ltrs would be minimum for a krib pair, but with other fish its a no no..
they get very aggresive when breeding and attack anything even if its bigger than them..
i used to think it wasnt true until a few weeks ago my rams started to show torn fins

too small i think but if i was you, i would concentrate on upping the tetras, they are shoaling fish and need a mine of 5-6 of each

I highly agree with BethK, having one silver tip, will drive this fish misereble ...
Same with the Neon's, but they will just be lonely- your silver tip will be downright aggresive!
This also go's for the Tiger Barbs.. to not have them drive everyone crazy, you need at leas four for your tank!
I think if your tank is running well you could do something like this:

4 Zebra Danios
4 Tiger Barbs
4 Neon Tetras
4 Sliver Tipped Tetra
