Hi all,

I have been having my interpet 120L tank for almost one year. After being a bit disappointed with its insufficient lighting wpg, I am trying to change xtwo light bulbs to higher wattage ones.

However, when I was measuring the size of the light bulb (default one that came with tank), I thought it should be CFL E27 (Edison Screw 27mm in diameter), but it is a little bit less than 26 (I am not 100% sure).

Just want to make sure before I go buy new ones @Ebay. Are the sockets for light bulbs E27 type, or else?

Thank you

Hello,

There is an E26 designation, although I haven't seen one for a). years and b). in domestic UK equipment.

You could just try screwing a known E27 bulb into the socket to check for fit.

Any numbers on the existing bulbs at all??

Thanks for your reply. Only 15w or 2U something on the bulbs that is why I wasn't that sure.

I will buy a cheap E27 bulb to check for fit b4 I go for an expensive aquabulb..

Hello

2U refers to the bulb structure..

To save buying an E27 bulb just to test the socket... Do you have any E27 sockets in any lights in the house that you could try your bulb in?
