Internal To External Filter Change Question?

Hi
at the min im cycling my tank with an fluval U3 internal filter, im wanting the fluval 205 external filter due to better filtration and cleaning etc,
but how do i transfer all the bacteria from filter and water to the new one??

When you get the new filter all set up and fitted to your tank, remove the media from the U3 and stuff it into the media baskets on the 205. Once you have done that, all of your bacteria will be in the new filter and will just need to colonize the new media that you got for the 205.
