ive read a bit about internal parasites in magazines etc, but don't know if i need to worry about it, i feed my fish flake, pellets, occasionally live brineshrimp, and frozen live foods including krill, mysis, cichlid mix and bloodworm. is there anything i should do with using this type of food?

Thanks in advance

My tip would be to never pour the live foods directly into the tank from the packet they came in, along with that yucky water they are in. Always rinse the live foods first, either in a bit of tank water (in a cup or bowl, or in fresh tapwater treated with a bit of Myxazin - 1 drop per litre). This is what I do and have not had any disease in my tanks from live foods.

Do the same with frozen foods - defrost in a bit of tank water then sieve off and add to the tank, rather than plopping the whole cube into tank.
