Internal Filter On The Rio 180

Just a quick question. I have just had another tank, its the Rio 180 and it has an internal filter but i want to add two external filters and was wondering if the internal will come out as its rubbish and of no use to me.

Yes they come out easy enough, just use a long flexible bladed craft knife so cut through the silicone pads that hold it in place.
