Interesting Thing Happened

well i just got a new male guppy since my one died and it's one of those tuxedo delta ones, it's orange. when i first got him i looked at his belly, which was white and i noticed what looked like spikey scales coming out or something. it was odd, i thought maybe it was part of him because my gourami has spikey looking fins and that's normal. now i put copper safe in my tank because one of my glolite tetras was starting to get ich. now that that's gone, the "spikey" scales are also gone from my guppy. do you think it was some kind of parasite or something? i just found it so odd!!

When you say the scales were spikey, do you mean they were sticking out like a pine cone?

That would be a dead fish for sure, when the scales start to stick out like that, there is absolutely no hope for the fish that does that

it wasn't like a pinecone i wouldn't say. they weren't sticking out that far... but the thing is, he's better now ever since i put in coppersafe... so whatever i did, he's just dandy now. i just thought it was very weird what i saw. that's why i was thinking it might have been some kind of worm things.
