Okay, first off, it is always a POSSIBLITY, but not always. Second they are perfect with fighters, I kept them together and let each other be :D

If you mean fighters and in Siemese(sp?) fighters or more commenly know as a Betta Spledid (or betta for short) than no, it is not ok.
Very often when a betta is placed with any other fish it will be agressive. My bettas are agressive with even cories!

Females are much less agressive than males, THEY WOULD BE JUST FINE, I have kept them together before, 3 or 4 times, no picking on each other, just FINE. By fighters, I thought that was what he meant, bettas :D

CAREFUL making a blanket statement like this. Some females are just as aggressive as males. They *may* be fine together, but have a plan B if things go poorly.

in my personal experiencs my females were great with my livebearers. although i have since moved them (i wanted to make a sorority tank). but like synirr said it depends on the girl. for most cases i have come across the girl was ok but i have seen some very agro girls. i even have males that are gentle but that is even more rare. i would be safe and try them in the tank (females only) and if they do get agro than move them into another tank asap.
