Just a quick question about what you guys think is the best way to integrate groups of the same fish into one group? I'm upgrading my tank from a 50 liter to a 100 liter so was looking at my stocking options and just having a read of what fish I already have, after I looked up on my zebra loach it turns out they prefer larger groups, so the first thing I'm going to look at is to get in another 3/4 zebra loaches to keep him company.

Now my new tanks still cycling so my existing fish are still in the smaller tank, I did get some advice on an unrelated thread to put my fish in my new tank when it's cycled before buying some loaches of a similar size and quarantining them in my old tank for a couple of weeks. After this then to add my old loach to this tank and if it all goes smoothly add the group to the main tank.

To save stressing my loach I was considering putting the new group in my 100l once it's cycled on their own for a couple of weeks as a sort of quarantine period before adding my other fish, hopefully saving time and minimising stress.

What do you guys think?

I think putting the new loaches in the new tank should be fine then adding the rest and the loaches should mix fine, I think he should be just glad of the company, I dont have a quarantine tank but turning the little one into one afterward is a good idea.
