Installing Maxi Jet

having real trouble trying to install 2 maxi jet ph 600. could anyone help?

Can I ask what you're having trouble with and what is it for?

im trying to set up and undergravel filter system. but i think the bloke sold me something its not compatible with. and just generally im pretty clueless.

Im not too sure to be honest, any particular reason you went for an undergravel filter?

not really.... there werent many options in the shop!

Well generally you place the undegravel part on the base of the tank, there should be a pipe in one corner... attach the pump into the pipe and this sucks water from the base part up the pipe and this pushes the water out into the aquarium...

firstly theres not a good seal between the pump and the pipe from the bottom. dont really want to gaffa tape it tight. or should it be slightly loose?

sounds like he just sold you any old pump to go with it...

it shouldnt be loose otherwise the suction from the pump wont be as strong, you could take it back and show the guy or possibly use aquarium safe silicone to make it a tight fit

i think im gonna change it for a normal pump, seems less of a headache.
