One of my corydoras has a red patch (blood looking) on its right side fin by the base of it Ive ordered a breeding/hatchery tank so i can seperate it and treat it but what treatment should i give it or will it get better alone?

It's a bacterial based infection, that is usualy secondary (i.e. comes after another problem) so check nothing is picking on it, it's in a good sized group and that water stats are all OK.

Bacterial infections that are mild will often clear themselves up with a week of daily 30% waterchanges, so avoid the medication by trying these first :good: If the disease spreads during this time, or if there is no change, treat the fish in QT if it is just the one, or the whole tank if more than one, with Myxazin by Waterlife :good: Avoid treating the whole tank where possible if it is new, as any anti-bacterial meds will affect a new filter. Effects of UK meds on the filter of a mature tank will be neglegable though, as the UK meds aren't all that powerful
