I'm not against the idea, but I wouldn't have the foggiest idea how to do something like that. I know a lot about aquariums and fish, but much less about forum tech. :p

But really, I personally don't see the necessity. Generally, anything controversial on this forum leads to a lively discussion. People can take the time to read the discussion and make up their own mind about what to do or not do. I'm not sure such issues can or should be reduced to "wow, thirteen people clicked agree; it must be true!", if that makes sense.

The informational reaction is not the same as agree. It just says that the comment has very helpful and informational content.
 
You would have to talk to the forum admins about any change to the software. Mods don't have access to that.
